GCSE Art and Design
Over 2 years students will produce a portfolio of work containing a broad range of skills and media.
They will also be required to produce one unit of work based on a specific theme. The portfolio and ‘unit of work’ accounts for 60% of the marks.
In addition to this there is a 10 hour exam spread over 2 days. This accounts for 40% of the final mark.
Students are encouraged to be independent workers and the course is kept as open as possible to accommodate specific interests. Homework is an essential part of the coursework.
