James King: PGCE, BSc (Hons.) - Head of Physical Education
Educated at Torquay Boys Grammar School, James developed a keen interest in a variety of sports and a particular passion for rugby. James continued his studies at Brunel University (Borough Road) undertaking a degree in Sport Science. It was here that James’s education in rugby really took off as part of the Brunel University team littered with internationals. From Brunel, James ventured down to Plymouth to complete his PGCE in secondary teaching. James has previously taught in Chesham and at the Cypt before taking up the role as Head of Department in September 2006. Since moving to the area James joined Old Patesians in Cheltenham playing in the front row. James considers his career highlights to be his games for Harlequins and Gloucester ‘A’ and representing four different counties including Gloucestershire at senior level.
John Davies: PGCE, BA - Head of BTEC Sports Studies & IT for PE
John arrived at Beaufort Community School having completed his PGCE in Physical Education at the University of Wales Institute Cardiff (UWIC). Educated at Blundell’s School in Devon he developed a keen interest in all sports and choice to specialise in Cricket.
After captaining Blundell’s in their most successful season on record John embarked on a GAP year of South Africa where he discovered his desire to teach. On returning he studied at UWIC where he captained the 1st XI Cricket Side as well as the Welsh Universities Men’s side in the Home Nations Championship.
After playing for Wales at youth level he made his senior debut at the age of 20. Playing over 20 Championship matches and over 50 One-Day Matches. His highest score of 142 was scored against West Buckland School for the MCC, whom he is a member of at the age of 17. He currently coaches the Wales & Glamorgan U17's Academy as well as being Head Coach at Radyr CC, Cardiff.
Nick Marment: BEd - Assistant Headteacher
Attended Lockleaze Comprehensive school in Bristol 1971-8, then on to University of Exeter. Completed a 4 year BEd Degree Played rugby and cricket for the university. Took up first teaching appointment at Queen Elizabeth's Boys School in Barnet. Taught there for 3 years and played rugby for Saracens. Joined the Kings School Gloucester in 1985 and played rugby for Gloucester RFC from 1986-1991 Making 139 appearances for the first team scoring 696 points, including being the leading try scorer in 1990-91 season with 17 tries in 21 matches. Played as a wing and at fullback. Feel very privileged to have played for the greatest rugby club in the country. Played cricket for Gloucester City during this period. Between 1995 and 2001 coached the Gloucester Rugby Academy XV. 1997 moved to be Head of PE at Beaufort Community School. In 2002 became Assistant Headteacher in charge of Key Stage 3. Played for 'The Cherry Pickers' until a serious hamstring injury in 2007. Currently playing cricket for Painswick CC.

Thomas Webb: GTP, BSC (Hons) - Head of GSCE PE
Thomas Webb arrived at Beaufort Community School having completed his GTP in Physical Education at the University of Gloucestershire. Educated at the Crypt School where he represented the school at county level in a variety of sports he developed a keen interest in coaching all sports and decided to choose the teaching career path. Tom currently represents and captains Gloucester City Football Club in Non Leagues Conference North Division.

Kim Stevenson: PGCE, BSc.
Kimberley was educated at Rednock School in local Dursley town on to complete her undergraduate degree in Sports Science at Brunel University in West London where she achieved a First Class Honours Degree. Kimberley complete her Post Graduate Certificate of Education at bath spa university.
Whilst at University Kimberley represented Brunel at netball. As Chairperson of the Equestrian club Kimberley competed regionally and nationally at Equestrian Eventing.
Kimberley has always shown a keen interest in all sports, specifically netball, equestrianism and long distance running. She currently plays netball for Rednock Ladies netball team and runs regularly for Dursley and District Athletics Club. She is currnetly training to complete the Pairs Marathon in April.
