Westgate House News
Head of House - Mrs. S. Wright
Deputy Head of House - Ms. Z. Kingston
Dear Westgate,
Three weeks until we break up for Christmas ….I can’t believe how fast this term has disappeared!

We have chosen our house Christmas song, more about this in assembly on Friday! (2nd December). As usual, all Westgate year 7 students will perform for the Beaufort Judges in our final assembly, but any older students who wish to take part (singing, dancing or dressing up!) please see Mrs Wright or Mrs Kingston as soon as possible!
You have a lot to be proud of this term WESTGATE.
We are officially a generous and caring house – having raised £55.38 with our pennies for Children in Need (who knew looking behind sofa cushions could be so lucrative!) and a massive £280 for the Poppy appeal! We were the house that raised the most money. A huge thank you to all of you who took part in the penny tower building, well done to Joe Kanonik and Matthew Payne (W6) for building the best penny tower.

- You continue to hold the record for the least sanction points.
- Attendance is still very good at 93.6% (28.11.11). Keep up the hard work Westgate, especially now seasonal sniffles are starting to take hold!

I have attached the photographs taken by the staff on the Westgate Residential to PGL in Swindon last term …. Sorry about the delay! Do take the time to have a look at how much fun we had!
Finally, our house charities for this year will be The Spring Centre in Quedgley and The Gloucestershire Animal Welfare Association. I was really pleased with your involvement in choosing our house charities and look forward to helping you raise money for them. If you have any great fund raising ideas let me know.
Good luck with your mock exams year 11!
Bye, for now
Mrs Kingston.
